Lately I've been trying to improve on my portraits. Below are a few of Beijing from my trip to China.

I liked this one because of it's depth of field. The only one that is in focus here is my sister Natalie.

Newport Sunset

A simple shot of one of my many visits to the beach. The colors that California sunsets produce are amazing.

Empty Lineup

An empty lineup is always a prime time to paddle out, even if the waves are ankle to knee high.

This would be a great shot if I had known how to use my camera at the time. Apparently I was such an amateur that I didn't know what FOCUS meant. Love the colors though...

Dana Point Harbor

I actually didn't think this picture turned out that good at first. My Editor in Chief, Kara Bates, thought otherwise. The more I look at it, the more I like it.

32nd Street

I am a TOTAL beach bum and spend as much time there as I can. 32nd Street Newport is what I consider my "Home Break".

For you that live out in the Desert, ehhhh hem....Hacienda Heights, the term Home Break is my surf spot.

This shot actually came out by mistake. Turned out to be my favorite picture of my girlfriend.

630 Anton Blvd

Two other passions I have are for Architecture and Engineering. In my opinion, this building has the one of the best designs in all of Southern California. This picture is of the backside of the building and doesn't show off it's best design characteristics. My goal in this shot was to get a unique angle on the building and have something in the end that didn't look like it came out of a cookie cutter.
